Role Summary:

The Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in our finance team, supporting accountants and team leads with various accounting tasks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting.


NOTE- The candidates with Real Estate accounting experience using MRI for the GL Accounting Module can apply, MRI (GL Module) experience is a MUST HAVE.


Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Keying checks, budgets, and payables into accounting software.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Performing regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial reporting packages.
  • AR/AP/GL Reconciliation: Ensuring accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts are reconciled.
  • Year-End and Month-End Tasks: Including journal entries and assisting in the month-end closing process.


Knowledge And Skills (MUST HAVE)

  • Experience: 1-3 years in accounting, with knowledge of GAAP.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Real Estate Accounting experience using MRI and YARDI systems;
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and SaaS systems for data management and analysis.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Initiative: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable attendance, and willingness to work extended hours during critical financial periods.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Preferred Experience: BPO/KPO experience would be a plus.
